A few months ago our energy company started sending out monthly comparisons of how we are doing compared to our neighbors. Most months, due to our 1960 furnace and aluminum frame windows, we are better than all of our neighbors but worse than our most efficient neighbors.


This month, though....we did great! Woohoo! However....you can see at the bottom of the picture above that our electricity use is significantly less than our efficient neighbors but our natural gas (furnace, water heater) use is significantly more than our efficient neighbors. I have a feeling that if we complete a few of the projects we have in mind this year...we may use significantly less than our efficient neighbors in all aspects. Fingers crossed...


And also, we're on track to use less energy than last year. Double woohoo!
